Dear Leader,
I trust your week is starting off in great health.
In the last few weeks, I have been learning and meditating on a few leadership lessons, and I want to share with you my leadership letter for this week.
- We all agree that leaders must be visionary. But there’s something you need to agree with, it is that, no matter how visionary you are you cannot see everything in the future. Stay humble.
- Instead of pretending to be in control of all the circumstances, leaders must learn to be under control and model being under control.
- Leaders must model humanity and identify with the limitations of others. You are not immune from the things that happen to humans.
- Leaders will need to model an anchored life, which means you should live from character and not emotions. It’s a difficult but possible call.
- While leaders don’t know what tomorrow holds, they should know who holds tomorrow.
