Dear Leader,
I trust this meets you in pursuit of greatness.
As the year enters a full gear today, I want to bring to your consciousness that;
History is not shaped by crowds. Very often, it is shaped by ONE PERSON who decided to act when others were comfortable watching.
No matter how long it rains on the earth today, God promised that water would never again destroy the world. The rainbow stands as the reminder of that promise. Yet the world benefits from that covenant because ONE MAN obeyed when it made no sense. That man was Noah. While others doubted, he built. While others mocked, he persisted. Humanity is safer today because one man chose obedience over opinion.
Today, when you need to prepare a document for work, school, or job opportunity, you open Microsoft Word and get it done in minutes. Millions benefit from that convenience today because ONE MAN believed technology could empower ordinary people. That man is Bill Gates. He saw what many could not yet imagine, and the world followed his vision.
Think also of Rosa Parks, who refused to give up her seat. ONE WOMAN’s quiet decision ignited a movement. Think of Nelson Mandela, ONE MAN who chose forgiveness over revenge and gave the nation of South Africa a new beginning. Think of Malala, ONE TEENAGER who chose courage over fear and gave a voice to millions of girls who were told to be silent.
I can go on and on.
Progress often begins with ONE CONSCIENCE that will not sleep, ONE VOICE that will not be quiet, ONE HEART that will not give up.
The lesson this week is simple: ONE PERSON CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE.
And it doesn’t have to be as grand as Noah or Steve Jobs or Bill Gates. It can be for your family, for your community. It can be serving people or influencing them positively thereby creating a chain of impact that outlives you.
You may look at yourself and think, “I am too young, too small, too unknown.” But history rarely waits for perfect conditions. It responds to willing people. The world you want tomorrow is waiting for someone today. Age doesn’t matter but I advice you to start now that you are young.
One person can change a culture.
One person can challenge a broken system.
One person can open a door that many will walk through.
One person can become the answer to a problem others complain about.
This year, do not wait for a crowd to move you. Do not wait for applause to start you. Decide to be that one person who shows up early, speaks with courage, works with excellence, and leads with integrity.
Be the one who builds when others doubt.
Be the one who stands when others sit.
Be the one who believes when others give up.
You may never fully see the impact of your obedience, your ideas, or your discipline. But somewhere, someone will benefit because you chose to act.
This is not the year to stay on the sidelines and watch history.
This is your year to BREAK FORTH and write it.
Be that ONE PERSON.
I’m rooting for you,
The Great Owete
